B Company Patrolling 1st Tour

 
6 Platoon on patrol. Note the '37 Pattern' back pack and hybrid webbing. The back packs were army issue to our fathers in WW11. Initially the Diggers were poorly equipped. also note the white tape through the bush hat. the VC also wore bush hats of a similar style and the tape was to identify the Diggers from 'Charlie'; To help prevent causing some embarrassing incidents.
