Another favourite of the troops was Dinah Lee here with the ABC Show Band. There was some element of danger to the entertainers doing their thing in South Vietnam. Col Joye and the Joye Boys, along with Little Patty were giving a concert on the afternoon of 18th August when in the middle of the show the Battle of Long Tan began. They were whisked away to the battalion lines as a safety measure.
