'Fort Wendy' 1966
Private Tony Templeton is seen here
manning D Company's 50 Calibre Browning Machinegun atop of Fort
Wendy Nui Dat. Fort Wendy was named after the OC of D Company, Major
Paul Greenhalgh's wife Wendy.
D Company manned Nui Dat Hill for quite some time until replaced by
the SAS. When it became known in later years as 'SAS Hill'.
The machinegun location gave a splendid view over the western area
of Phuoc Tuy Province including the "Warby Mountains."
