Captain Peter James lsaacs has acted in a dual capacity since the 5th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment entered operations in Vietnam. In addition to his normal tasks as unit Adjutant he has also carried out the role of assistant Operations Officer in the Battalion command post.
Pressure of continuous operations necessitated long hours of work under extremely arduous conditions and throughout this period, he cheerfully carried out all tasks presented to him. His coolness, ability and readiness to accept responsibility have contributed greatly to both the operational and administrative efficiency of the unit and have been an inspiration to those serving with him.
