Looking West. On four or more occasions while I was there, there was ground activity in that area. We fired on it more than once. There were about four choppers in the air with mini Gatling Guns. They circled taking turns firing. Every third round is a tracer so there is a lot of lead flying over there. Above the flares in this shot you can see two white dots. (One on the right and one centre). These are two choppers with one firing. On this night I believe they guessed about 1,100 VC had been spotted on the ground moving towards the 183rd and 5 RAR.
